About Yunexi
Yunexi Giral is a highly skilled and culturally competent Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a unique background that combines education and nursing. Born and raised in Cuba, she initially began her professional journey as a teacher, where she developed a deep understanding of human behavior and the value of nurturing growth in others. This foundation eventually led her to discover a passion for healthcare, prompting her to transition into nursing as a way to make an even greater impact on individuals and her community.
In 2015, She graduated from Kaplan University and began her career as a Mental Health Nurse, drawn to the specialty from the very beginning. Working in an inpatient setting allowed her to witness the complexities of mental health care firsthand and fueled her desire to deepen her expertise. Recognizing the need for more holistic, compassionate, and culturally informed care, she pursued her master’s degree in psychiatric nursing at Walden University, completing the program in 2022 and becoming a PMHNP-BC.
Over the past decade, Yunexi has built a reputation for delivering empathetic, patient-centered mental health care. One of her greatest accomplishments is her ability to provide culturally competent and compassionate care to members of her community, addressing the unique needs of diverse populations. Her approach emphasizes understanding mental health through a holistic lens, taking into account physical, emotional, social, and cultural factors to create comprehensive treatment plans that improve her patients' quality of life.
